Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokhrel has urged political parties to rise above political interests and abstain from the mentality of winning elections at any cost in the up-coming by-elections.
Speaking at a meeting of various 24 parties representing in the CA at commission’s office Monday afternoon, Pokhrel requested the representatives of the political parties to follow the election code of conduct to make the elections fair.
The representatives of the parties expressed their commitment towards the code of conduct.
CEC Pokhrel also apprised the political parties of the security arrangements during the elections.
