Talking to party cadres at his residence in Biratnagar on Tuesday, Koirala said the coalition government has no authority to carry out other development activities, adding that less attention has been given to constitution making process.
He termed the government initiative of self employment scheme for youths as ‘raw assurances’ to confuse the unemployed generation which he claimed was to attract votes from people on the eve of by-elections.
He directed party cadres to work tirelessly for the upcoming elections to ensure party’s victory in the districts since the election is part of party efforts to strengthen democratic culture in Nepal.
Koirala further asked journalists to write in favour of democracy and press freedom.
On the occasion, Koirala learnt about casting votes through the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). Election Commission has already notified that it will use EVM in all six constituencies during by-elections. nepalnews.com ia Mar 24 09
