CIST to hold IT Revolution Fair
The Center for Information Science and Technology (CIST) is set to
organise the first "IT Revolution Fair" at Fun Park in Bhrikuti Mandap
from May 13 to May 18, 2009.
According to the CIST, the expo will act as a forum for latest
technological displays to create the awareness about IT applications to
initiate IT revolution in the country.
More than 240 stalls representing various national and international IT
brands are expected to participate in the fair.
The CSIT also plans to provide training to 113 people from 60 districts to
spread the medium of IT throughout the country. With more than 30,000
officials guests from around the world, the expo is anticipated to be
visited by some 500,000 thousand people.
The organizers believe that that it will cost them some Rs 4 million to
conduct the fair.
