PM to comment on video tape, threats to other party cadres

Prime Minister of the caretaker government and chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his party will clarify the contents of the video tape that surfaced yesterday where he seen telling his PLA combatants to be ready for another ‘revolution’.

Krishna Pahadi, Khagendra Sangraula and Dr Devendra Raj Pandey had reached the PM’s residence in Baluwatar Wednesday morning to express concern regarding video tape, obstruction of the parliament session and threats given to Nepali Congress and UML cadres to leave their villages.

According to Dr Pandey, PM Dahal has agreed to hold consultation with NC and UML leaders to sort out the House obstruction and threats imposed on their cadres. Pandey said they have asked Dahal to end obstruction of parliament sessions since it will not help uphold ‘civilian supremacy’.

Dahal also has assured to clarify party position regarding the video tape, through a press conference this afternoon. nepalnews.com ia May 06 09
