Maoist politburo meeting begins
A meeting of the Unified CPN (Maoist) politburo has begun in Bhaktapur Thursday morning to discuss the party’s strategy in the wake of latest political developments.
The meeting will discuss protest programmes against the President’s move to block government decision of sacking the army chief and the formation of new government, according to Maoist spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma.
The meeting is taking place at a time when there is a controversy about the Maoist intention towards the constituent assembly and the national army.
The 45-member politburo is considered a powerful body of the party. nepalnews.com May 07 09
