Maoists threaten cadres of other parties in Siraha
A day after party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said threats issued to other
party cadres to leave their places was against the party policy, Maoist
cadres have issued fresh threats of physical action against those
supporting the President's move.
In a notice issued by Young Communist League (YCL) chief of the Siraha
district, those supporting president's move to reinstate government-sacked
army chief have been alleged to be Indian agents and warned of physical
action.
Reports said the Maoist cadres also said this was to uphold the civilian
supremacy and whoever goes against that will face punishment from the
people.
The Maoist cadres had issued similar threats to cadres of Nepali Congress
and CPN (UML) in Ramechhap and Kailali asking them to leave the districts.
Dahal on Wednesday said district committees have been informed that such
threats are against the party policy and concerned persons were instructed
to withdraw it immediately. nepalnews.com ia May 07 09
