| Nepal President ‘deeply shocked’ by death of North Korean President Kim
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of President of North Korea Kim Jong II who passed away on December 17 at the age of 69.
In a condolence message sent to Kim Jong UN, Supreme leader of Korean People, Vice Chairman of Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea on Tuesday, President Dr Yadav said that he had been “deeply shocked” by the death of “Mr Kim”, who who was general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).
On the behalf of the government as well as the people of Nepal and on his own, the President extended heartfelt condolences to Kim Jong Un, describing the death of leader Kim as “an irreparable loss to the people and the government of DPRK.
“Nepal has lost a friend, too", said the President in the message.
Similarly, Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Kim Jong II.
