Sadbhawana sacks gen secy Jha

The Nepal Sadbhawana Party on Monday sacked its secretary general Anil Kumar Jha, accusing him of trying to instigate vertical split in the party.

Party chairman Rajendra Mahato told Nepalnews that the decision to terminate Jha was taken following complaints from some of lawmakers that he was attempting to desert the party to join UML-led government along with three other three lawmakers. According to Mahato, Jha's general membership has also been terminated.

"We found him attempting to break the party with 40 percent lawmakers to join the new government. Party's emergency meeting decided to expel him," Mahato said.

However, Jha told Nepalnews that he was unaware of any decision to sack him.
