NC prez says new constitution will address people's aspiration

Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala Sunday said his party is committed to promulgate new constitution addressing people's sentiment and aspiration.

Delivering a message on the occasion of People's Movement Day, the NC president also said that process of writing constitution is in final stage.

Koirala also said that his party has stressed on the need for incorporating democratic rights, human rights, press freedom, and provision of independent judiciary in the new constitution.

The NC leader also reiterated that there was no alternative to consensus and cooperation to conclude peace and constitution writing process on time. nepalnews.com
