Unity govt before May 27 under NC's leadership, claims Sushil

Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala Wednesday said consensus government should be formed under his party’s leadership before May 27, the deadline for the promulgating the new constitution.

Receiving a memorandum submitted by Reporter’s Club at his residence, Maharajgunj, Koirala claimed that unity government under NC’s leadership would help build trust among the political parties to speed up the peace process and constitution-writing.

“Only a unity government can lead the country to a right direction,” he added.

The NC president also made it clear that he would not interested to become the Prime Minister of the consensus government.
