PM addresses nation; assures of timely peace, constitution
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday said the peace process has moved ahead in such a way that it is impossible to backtrack. In an address to nation in the evening, PM Bhattarai also expressed confidence that the constitution would be issued within the deadline.

”The existence of parallel army has been put to and environment of trust ha been built,” PM Bhattarai said, urging former PLAs and commanders not to be doubtful of the integration process. He said both the PLA and the Nepal Army are part of state's security force.
The PM also stressed the need for the formation of consensus government, adding that he was ready to do his bit for the formation of the unity government.
“I have stood for unity government even though this government was formed on the basis of majority due to the circumstances then,” he added.
Bhattarai also said that the government was giving priority to good governance and development works after peace and constitution.
“Peace and constitution is only the means, our main aim is to end poverty, unemployment and discrimination,” he said in his address on the even of Nepali New Year 2069. nepalnews.com
