Info minister hails Hattiban talks as ‘historical’
Minister for Information and Communications, Rajkishor Yadav has termed the recent talks held between the major political parties in Hattiban, Lalitpur, as “historical”.
Speaking at a function organised in Lahan of Siraha district Tuesday, Yadav informed that the talks was positive in that the political parties forged consensus on disputed topics in constitution drafting – forms of governance, the state restructuring, the electoral system, among other topics.
Yadav, who is also the Acting Chairman of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (Republic), expressed confidence that the political parties would strike a crucial deal to pave the way for timely constitution drafting within a day or two and assured that the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) of which his party is an important constituent would not be an obstacle for peace and constitution writing process.
