AFC Presidents' Cup Qualifiers: NPC to take on Dordoi Dynamo; Lankan, B'desh clubs withdraw

Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Dordoi Dynamo of Kyrgyz Republic are set to face each other in their opening match from Group 'B' of AFC Presidents' Cup Qualifiers that is scheduled to take place at National Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia on May 5, 2012.

Similarly, NPC will take on Phnom Penh Crown Football Club of Cambodia on May 7 and Yeedzin Football Club from Bhutan on May 9.

According to the official site of AFC Presidents' Cup, the scheduled for Group 'A' and 'C' of qualifiers has been changed after Sri Lankan Champions Ratnam Sports Club and Bangladeshi League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmundi Club opted to withdraw from the competition.

As per the revised schedule, Group A will feature three clubs that is scheduled to start from May 8 to 12 at Punjab Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan while Group 'C' will also feature three clubs that is scheduled to start from May 5 to 9 at Republican Central Stadium in Tajikistan.

However, all the six matches from Group 'C' will be played as per the previous schedule in Cambodia.

The top two teams from each group will be qualified for the final round that is scheduled for September 2012. nepalnews.com
