U-19 National Cricket: Birgunj enter final from Group B

Region No. 2 Birgunj entered the final from Group B of the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.

Birgunj advanced to the final after three consecutive victories. Birgunj defeated Region No. 1 Biratnagar by seven-wickets in the match played at Kirtipur TU ground in their third match.

Electing to bat first, Biratnagar scored 213 runs in 50 overs losing eight wickets while Birgunj met the target in 45.4 overs with the loss of three-wickets. Bijay Ghalan contributed 72 runs off 145 balls for Birgunj.

Similarly, in another match of the day played at Pulchowk Engineering Ground, Region No.3 Kathmandu defeated No. 8 Pokhara by four wickets.
