Nepal-India security meet to be held in Pokhara

Senior officials of Nepal and India are to meet in Pokhara on Thursday to discuss assess the cross-border security challenges in work out plans for to address them.

The 10-member Indian delegation will be headed by Akhilesh Mishra, a joint secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, while the Nepali side will be led by Deepak Dhikal, a joint secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The security meet will mainly concentrate on working out strategies to fight cross border crime including circulation of fare currencies and regulating the movement of people along the Nepal-India border.

Senior officials of Nepal's Defence Ministry, Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force will also take part in the two-day 'security mechanism meet'. nepalnews.com
