NRB governor says 'positive’ indicators creating favourable environment for economic growth

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Yuvaraj Khatiwada said that Nepal’s economic indicators are encouraging and moving positively due to improvement in export, balance of payment (BOP), foreign exchange reserve, inflation, and liquidity in the banks and financial sectors.

Addressing the NRB’s 57th anniversary here in the capital on Thursday, Khatiwada said that effective implementation of the monetary and financial policies has supported in maintaining country’s economic and financial stability.

Khatiwada said that as a result country’s financial situation is in the positive direction and favourable environment has been created for economic growth.

On the occasion, Khatiwada also felicitated the NRB employees who have served for over 20 years and winners among the enter-departmental sports tournament of the central bank. nepalnews.com
