US ready to help Nepal for tourism development

Visiting Commerce and Business Affairs Special Representative of the US Government, Lorraine Hariton has said that the US government is ready to extend necessary help for the development of tourism sector in Nepal.
During her meeting with Tourism Minister Lokendra Bista Magar at Singha Durbar on Sunday evening, the US Special Representative said that her government was ready to provide both technical and financial support for the tourism development of Nepal.
On the occasion, minister Bista said Nepal described Nepal as a safe destination for international tourists, adding that Nepal government expected necessary cooperation from the US government in promoting Nepal's tourism in US.
The US government has been periodically issuing travel advisories, warning its citizens against possible 'risks' while traveling to Nepal.
Hariton arrived in Nepal on Friday for a five-day visit. During her stay here, she has engaged herself in meeting Nepal government officials and local business leaders, discussing entrepreneurship and business development in Nepal. nepalnews.com
