LPG entrepreneurs to stop supply of cooking gas from August 15
The liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) entrepreneurs have announced a protest programme from August 15 citing government’s failure to address demands of the LPG entrepreneurs.
Organising a press conference here in the capital on Monday, the LPG entrepreneurs have announced the protest programme putting forth a 16-point demand including hike in the commission they have been receiving.
The vice-chairman of the LPG Industry Association Nepal Shiva Prasad Ghimire blamed the government and Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) for turning a deaf-ear towards their demands.
The ultimatum given to the government to address the demands of the LPG entrepreneurs ended today, according to the association.
The association also warned that they would stop the supply of the cooking gas from August 15 if government remained indifferent towards their demands.
Similarly, the association also expressed dissatisfaction over the government decision to introduce two types of cylinders in the market and said that the move will only create artificial crisis. Nepalnews.com
