UK-based Nepalis honour first Olympian, other players

One of Nepal’s first Olympians, Bhupendra Silwal, and the Nepali players in the ongoing London Olympics were honoured by Nepalis based in the United Kingdom.

The Non-resident Nepalis (NRN)-UK in coordination with Sahara UK, International Nepalese Taekwondo Association (INTA) among other Nepali’s organisations honoured Silwal along with the five players - Prasiddha Jung Shah, Shreya Dhital, Pramila Rijal, Tilak Ram Tharu and Sneh Rajya Laxmi Rana who participated in the London Olympics amidst a function held in London on Sunday.

Silwal had gone to London to watch London Olympics and to support the Nepali players at the invitation of NRN-UK in the initiative of Bepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF). nepalnews.com
