Dispute over two NOCs will be resolved soon: Lama

Member-secretary of National Sports Council Yubaraj Lama has said the long-standing dispute over whether the internationally recognised Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) or NOC recognised by the Supreme Court is valid will be resolved soon.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Council on Tuesday, member-secretary Lama said the dispute will be resolved by carrying out an election of all the sports associations registered at the Council. After that a new NOC will be elected from them, he said, adding that the time has come to end the dispute over the NOC once and for all

He, however, said that the Supreme Court’s verdict on the case will be considered while resolving the dispute.

Dhurva Bahadur Pradhan and Rukma Shumsher Rana are presently leading two NOCs in the country. nepalnews.com
