Nepal lose second warm-up match against New Zealand
Nepal U-19 lost their second warm-up match before the U-19 Cricket World Cup 2012 against New Zealand U-19 by 19 runs on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, New Zealand scored 267 runs losing eight wickets in total 50 overs while Nepal managed to score only 248 runs losing nine wickets.
Nepal’s Subash Khakurel took three wickets while Rahul BK took two wickets. Similarly, Krishna Karki and Sagar Pun grabbed one wicket each.
Naresh Budayair shined for Nepal as he scored a marvelous 114 runs off 142 balls while Subash Khakurel scored 59 runs off 96 balls.
On Tuesday, Nepal had lost against Papua New Guinea (PNG) U-19 by eight wickets.
Electing to bat first, Nepal had posted a target of 214 runs losing all wickets in 43.3 overs in their first warm-up match while PNG chased the target at 40.3 overs losing two wickets to secure victory against Nepal.
The U-19 Cricket World Cup 2012 is scheduled to begin from August 11 in Australia.
