Rasuwa locals join hands to conserve Parbati Kunda

Locals have shown interest to conserve Parbati Kunda (Pond) based at Gatlang in Rasuwa district, which remains in shadows due to lack of publicity. The Kunda lies at an altitude of 2,500 meters from sea level.

Chairman of the Parbati Kunda (Chhediemo) Protection Committee, Cher Singh Tamang told state-owned news agency RSS, they have been engaged in the protection of the Kunda in an organised manner after the Kunda was being covered with Bojo, a kind of herb.

The religious place is in shadows due to lack of protection and publicity even if there is access of transport services to the place. It is said that the local administration has already registered Parbati Kunda Protection Committee as an organization to carry out cleanliness of the pond, remove Bojo and for construction of necessary infrastructure.

Tamang said that they have urged the private, government and non-government offices for their support on religious development of the Parbati Kunda. Parbati Kunda is known as the second important religious place of Rasuwa district after the Gosainkunda. nepalnews.com
