Indonesia's independence day marked
The 67th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia was marked amid a flag hoisting ceremony at the Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia at IME Complex premises on Friday.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the Honorary Consul of Indonesia to Nepal, hoisted the red-white flag to commemorate the Indonesian independence.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Indonesian community currently residing in Nepal along with the staff members of Consul's Office and IME Pvt. Ltd.
Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Nepal were established in 1960 and since December 2007 the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in Dhaka is accredited to Nepal. Since the accreditation, Indonesia had appointed Dhakal, the executive officer of IME, as the Honorary Consul. nepalnews.com
