India clinch title of ICC U 19 World Cup 2012
India defeated host Australia by six wickets to clinch the title of the ICC U 19 World Cup 2012 on Sunday.
In the final match played at Tony Ireland Stadium, Townsville in Australia, host Australia posted the target of 226 runs losing eight wickets in 50 overs.
Chasing the target, India made 227 runs losing four wickets in 47.4 overs, with 14 balls remaining.
India’s Unmukt Chand scored highest of 111 runs while Australia’s William Giles Bosisto scored highest of 87 runs for their respective teams.
Similarly, Sandeep Sharma alone grabbed four wickets for India.
