Cameroon thumps Nepal 5-0

Nepal suffered its second consecutive defeat in the Nehru Cup 2012 football tournament as they went down 5-0 in a largely one-side match against Cameroon on Sunday.

Physically as well as technically strong, Cameroon secured an early lead by netting a goal in 13th minute. The African power house then went on to double the tally in 40th minute as waves upon waves of attacks by Cameroon left Nepal’s defense hapless.

However, Nepal’s misery continued as its defense was left in complete disarray in the second half with Cameroon resorting to splendid short passes to turn them into three more goals in the second half.

Nepal had suffered a defeat against Maldives in its first match of the tournament.

Cameroon is ranked 59th in FIFA rankings while Nepal is positioned at 162nd place. nepalnews.com
