135 houses reduced to ashes in Jhapa refugee settlement
At least 135 huts of Bhutanese refugees were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Beldagi camp in Jhapa district at around 1:35 pm on Tuesday, police said.
It took hours for rescue persons including security personnel and two fire brigade vehicles from Damak municipality to took the fire under control, reports said.
The exact damage caused by the fire is yet to be assessed. There was no human casualty in the incident while it was not immediately known how the fire broke out. nepalnews.com
