UCPN (M) to be 'flexible' for consensus
The UCPN (Maoist) Tuesday decided to show 'flexibility' in the talks with opposition parties on formation of unity government.
A meeting of the Maoist office-bearers and some central committee members held at party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Lazimpat in the evening concluded that the country's political situation is in critical juncture and that the allies of the 12-point agreement should come together.
The party also emphasised that the fresh Constituent Assembly must be held in Baisakh (April-May), party leader Giriraj Mani Pokharel said.
The meeting also decided to give responsibility to hold talks with other parties to four leaders - party chairman Dahal, Prime Minister and vice chairman Baburam Bhattarai, Deputy PM and vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha and secretary Post Bahadur Bogati.
