US envoy, UML Chairman hold talks

US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W Bodde and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal have met at Khanal's residence in Dallu to discuss the current political situation in Nepal.

UML sources said Khanal and Bodde discussed Nepal-US ties and the government's announcement to conduct elections for the Constituent Assembly in April-May.

Khanal is learnt to have told the envoy that his party is in favour of forming a government of national consensus at the earliest and making necessary preparations to conduct the election in April-May. nepalnews.com
