Mob attacks Nagarik daily's office, manhandles editor
A group of people identifying themselves as Shiva Sena Nepal activists attacked the journalists working at Nagarik daily's office in Sundhara, Kathmandu.
The attack took place at around 2 pm as around 50 persons entered into the news room shouting slogans, said journalists present at the scene. The mob also roughed up Nagarik daily's Editor Kishor Nepal.
Nagarik journalists Sudarshan Sapkota, Rajendra Gyawali and Swaroo Acharya received minor injuries while trying to bar the mob from assaulting the Editor and vandalising property.
According to Nagarik journalists, the attackers insisted that 'Sukrabaar', the weekly tabloid of Nagarik, crossed the limits of 'decency'.
