APF, Bhairahawa advance One-Day Nat’l Cricket final
Armed Police Force (APF) and Region No. 4 (Bhairahawa) advanced to final of the Pepsi Standard Chartered One-Day National Cricket Tournament on Thursday.

APF defeated Region No. (Birgunj) by 120 runs to reach to the final while Bhairahawa thrashed Region No. 7 (Janakpur) by eight wickets in the semi-finals matches.
Electing to bat first, APF posted the target of 280 runs with the loss of wickets as Paresh Lohani scored 53 runs, Sanjay Shrestha 49 runs and Paras Khadka 41 runs. Kumar Thapa took three wickets for Birgunj.
While chasing the target, Birgunj were restricted just to 159 runs in 44 overs as Basanta Regmi grabbed four wickets for APF.
In another semi-final match, Bhairahawa easily met the target of 132 runs posted by Janakpur in 22.5 overs. Sagar Pun and Fajlur Rahman Khan scored 52 runs each for Bhairahawa. nepalnews.com |
