Eight injured in bus-truck collision

Eight people were injured when a truck collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction and plunged into Trishuli River on Thursday night.

The truck collided head-on with the passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 9586) en route to Sarlahi from Kathmandu at Jogimara VDC along the Prithivi Highway late last night.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Community Hospital in Malekhu. Reports said that the condition of two passengers is very critical.

Area police office Gajuri said Armed Police Force personnel are searching for the missing truck since last night. The bus driver and his assistant fled the scene of the accident immediately after the accident. Nepalnews.com
