The cabinet on Friday approved the India visit of President Ram Baran Yadav's starting from Monday (Dec. 24).

President Yadav is flying to Banaras to participate in a function organised by Banaras Hindu University (BHU). BHU, which is one of the oldest universities in India, is conferring honourary doctorate on him.
His 22-member delegation includes Irrigation Minister Mahendra Yadav, President's three family members, his press advisor Rajendra Dahal, legal advisor Lalit Basnet, secretary of his office Shital Babu Regmi, foreign secretary Durga Bhattarai and Brigadier General Pradip Bahadur Singh.
President Yadav will also visit Indian capital New Delhi. This is his fifth India visit.
