Yunus is scheduled to attend the 10th Annual General Meeting of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in Kathmandu. CNI President Binod Chaudhary welcomed him at the Tribhuvan Airport.

Yunus, a professor of economics, pioneered the concepts of microcredit and microfinance, helping millions of low-income group people in Bangladesh. In 2006, Yunus and his Grameen Bank received the Nobel Peace Prize.

While in Kathmandu, he will also attend ‘Social Business and Youth’ programme to be jointly organised by Central Department of Economics of Tribhuvan University and Young Entrepreneurs Forum. nepalnews.com
