India upbeat about inter-party talks in Nepal: Khurshid
Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid has said that his government believes that inter-party talks in Nepal would soon yield results, local media reported.
Speaking at a programme in New Delhi on Friday, the minister Khurshid said India will back a political agreement in Nepal to break the stalemate. “Since the parties in Nepal are involved in meaningful talks, we believe the talks will yield positive results,” he added.
Khurshid said New Delhi has been closely watching President Ram Baran Yadav’s efforts to bring the political parties together. “We are well-informed about the political developments in Nepal and the President's endeavours to forge consensus, through our mission in Kathmandu,” he added. nepalnews.com
