Chinese delegation wraps up Nepal visit

The Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister of International Department for South Asian Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Ai Ping, returned home on Sunday after wrapping up a three-day visit to Nepal.

During the three-day stay in Nepal, the Chinese delegation held separate meetings with UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala and UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal and discussed Nepal's current political situation They also discussed the ongoing peace process and the political stalemate brought about by the demise of the Constituent Assembly (CA).

During the meetings, Ai Ping suggested parties to arrive at consensus at the earliest, reiterating China's willingness to provide any kind of support asked for.

This was the most senior Chinese delegation visiting Nepal after the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly. Nepalnews.com
