President Ram Baran Yadav has suggested the government to take the opposition parties into confidence before introducing the budget for the new fiscal year.

During a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar at Shital Niwas Friday, President Yadav is known to have said that bringing a full-fledged budget without reaching an understanding would make political situation more complicated.

During the hour-long meeting with the President, Gachchhadar requested the President for help in introducing the budget since government's failure to do so would have immediate adverse effects on the functioning of the state organs.

Gachchhadar met the President amid media reports that he is not in a mood to approve the ordinance to be brought to him by the government to present a full budget, but he is positive about 1/3 budget.

On Wednesday, 22 opposition parties had jointly submitted a written request to the President, asking him not to approve the budget, arguing that the caretaker government has no right to present full budget. nepalnews.com
