National Labour, Employment Conference kicks off
The third National Labour and Employment Conference organised by the government kicked off in Kathmandu on Monday.
The three-day conference was organised to inform people about job opportunities, promote the employment and maintain labour relations.
Inaugurating the conference, Minister for Labour and Employment Kumar Belbase said that the development of agriculture along with industrial sector was the must for the employment generation and to create investment friendly environment.
Minister Belbase also said that the country should give more priority to the domestic investment.
“There should be harmonious relationship between the employers and employees to promote business sector,”, said Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Transport Som Lal Subedi.
On the occasion, the president of General Federation of Nepali Trade Unions (GEFONT) Bishnu Rijal said that both the government and the private sector should be responsible for the implementation of Labour Act. Nepalnews.com
