PM Bhattarai will not resign, says Dahal

The UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Thursday said that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai would not resign under existing circumstances.

Speaking at a programme organised by Sadvawana Party in Kathmandu, chairman Dahal said that the country would face further crisis if Bhattarai resign from the PM post without any alternative. Chairman Dahal's statement comes at a time when the opposition parties including Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are demanding PM's resignation as the precondition to end the current political impasse.

"PM's resignation will not solve the problem but will invite further disaster," he added.
