Lightning claims three lives in Morang; death toll rises to seven

Three persons died after being struck by lightning in Morang district on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Rita Urav, 20, of Thalaha-1, Chanama Pasawan, 60, of Dayaniya-5 and Nainodevi Das, 30, of Takuwa-4. They died in separate incidents of lightning, police said.

While Rita and Nainodevi fell victim to lightning while they were working in the fields, Chanama died after being struck by lightning inside the house.

With this, the number of people who have died in separate incidents of lightning in the district in the past one week has reached seven. Nepalnews.com
