Two persons died of asphyxiation inside a well in Manamaiju, Kathmandu, Monday afternoon.

The victims have been identified as Krishna Dhungana, 24, and Santosh Shrestha, 19. According to police, Dhungana had gone inside the well to fetch an water pump that he dropped inside, but could not return alive. Shrestha who had gone inside the well to rescue Dhungana also died of asphyxiation.
