Doctors at Chitwan hospitals return to work
Doctors and nurses working at different hospitals in Chitwan district returned to work from Tuesday, ending their protest against physical assaults by relatives of patients at some of hospitals, accusing them of carelessness.
They agreed to end their strike going on for the last three days following a three-point agreement with the local administration. The local administration agreed to take measures to ensure security to doctors and nurses and take severe action against those involved in the attacks.
As per the agreement, doctors and nurses who are found making deliberate mistakes will also be liable to punishment.
Services in all the hospitals in the district, except for emergency, had come to a halt due to the strike.
