Diarrhea death toll reaches seven in Doti

Two persons have died due to a diarrhea outbreak in six VDCs of Doti including district headquarters Dipayal.

Two-year-old Suresh Bhul of Sanagaun-8 and 70-year-old Sharada Saud of Kadamandau-3 died on while being rushed to hospital for treatment on Monday, according to District Public Health Office.

The outbreak of the waterborne disease, which has become deadly because of lack of health facilities in remote villages of the country, has affected scores of people in many parts of the district.

With the latest victims, the death toll from diarrhea related illness has reached seven in the district this year. nepalnews.com
