Party unity possible if UCPN (M) reviews ideological line: Chand

Secretary of the newly-formed CPN-Maoist, Netra Bikram Chand has said unity between his party and UCPN (Maoist) was possible if the latter shows readiness to adopt the ideological line of his party.

Chand who reached Baglung to attend a training programme for party cadres on Wednesday said that the UCPN (Maoist) should also show readiness to review the leadership if it wants unity between the two parties.

"Two parties can be united if UCPN (Maoist) corrects its mistakes," he said.

Chand also argued that the main cause of split in the UCPN (Maoist) was the political deviation of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and vice chairman and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. nepalnews.com
