PM Bhattarai promises to rein in factionalism in party; describes Dahal as 'leader of leaders'

Prime Minister and vice chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Baburam Bhattarai has assured party cadres that there was no factionalism in the Maoist party.

Answering the questions raised by the participants of the central plenum of the party in Bhrikuti Mandap on Saturday, PM Bhattarai said that party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was the leader of the leaders in the party so there was no reason to afraid of factionalism even if it existed.

PM Bhattarai also made it clear that the party was serious on the issue of nationalism and party's policy regarding the same remained unchanged.

Presenting their views on the political document of chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the plenum representatives had sought clear position of party on the issue of nationalism and India, accusing the leadership of "bowing down" to India. nepalnews.com
