NEPSE gains 5 pts
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 5.73 points to settle at 395.47 points during the five trading days from Sunday to Thursday last week.
The index had increased by 5.75 points to settle at 383.48 points during the five trading days, the previous week.
As per the sub-indices of all the groups, except finance group which was negative by 1.88 points all the other groups witnessed positive growth including commercial bank 7.60 points, manufacturing 19.98 points, hotel 0.38 points, other 2.35 points, hydropower 1.93 points, insurance 11.13 points and development bank 5.73 points.
However, trading group remained unchanged at 191.97 points over a week.
The stock market traded with 126 companies registering the turnover of Rs. 369.91 million through 5784 transactions while it had traded with 112 companies registering the turnover of Rs. 317.62 million through 5328 transactions in the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 218.4 million which is 59.06 percent of the total turnover.
NIDC Capital Markets (Rs. 87.96 million), Everest Bank (Rs. 57.73 million), Chilime Hydropower Company (Rs. 35.64 million), Bank of Kathmandu (Rs.25.57 million) and Kist Bank (Rs. 22.07 million) were the top five companies to witness the highest transactions over the week. nepalnews.com
