NC names party's department, zonal coordinators

Nepali Congress has named coordinators for various departments and zonal committees of the party on Saturday.

The NC formed the departments two years after the 12th general convention was held.

Party president Sushil Koirala also nominated Baburam Rana of Rupandehi as the central committee member , according to the press release issued by chief secretary of NC Party office Basanta Kumar Gautam.

Koirala has appointed Dilendra Prasad Badu as the spokesperson of the party and Ram Krishna Tamrakar as the coordinator of Valley Coordination Committee.

Similarly, Purna Bahadur Khadka has been named as the coordinator for the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Minendra Rijal Publicity Department, Sujata Koirala Department of Foreign Relations, Umakanta Chaudhary Terai-Madhes Department, Ananda Prasad Dhungana Organisation Department, Gagan Thapa Federal Affairs Department and Shankar Bhandari as the coordinator for Youth Department.

Likewise Koirala has also nominated coordinator for 14 zonal committees- Mahendra Yadav (Mechi), Padhma Narayan Chaudhary (Koshi), Keshav Kumar Budhathoki (Sagarmatha), Ram Kumar Chaudhary (Janakpur), Ratna Sherchan (Bagmati), Ramchandra Tiwari (Narayani), Krishna Chandra Nepali (Gandagi), Surendra Raj Pandey (Lumbini), NP Saud (Dhawalagiri), Baburam Rana Magar (Rapti), Min Bishwakarma (Karnali), Gyanendra Bahadur Karki (Seti) and Jeewan Bahadur Shahi (Mahakali). nepalnews.com
