APF defend title of National Women's Football

Defending champion Armed Police Force (APF) lifted the title of 14th Ncell National Women´s Football Championship.

APF defeated Nepal Police Club (NPC) 2-1 as Jamuna Gurung and Anu Lama helped clinch the title of the championship for their team in the match played at Simara, Bara on Saturday.

Though NPC's Chandra Bhandari had scored an opening goal in the early 17th minute, APF's Gurung leveled the score in the 41 st minute and Lama scored a winning goal in the 75th minute.

The winning team bagged Rs. 300,000 while the runners up team received Rs 1, 50,000. nepalnews.com
