Writ seeks PM's ouster
A writ petition was filed at the Supreme Court on Monday, demanding an order to the President to relieve Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai from his position and issue a call for formation of national unity government.
In the writ, advocates Parasmani Bhattarai and Saroj Kumar Thapa argued that the Prime Minister's ouster was necessary in order to form a unity government as he had failed to fulfill his constitutional duties.
They also demanded court order to stay the elections declared by the government, saying that the elections to be conducted in the absence of
necessary legal frameworks would not be free and fair. nepalnews.com
