Nepal U-19 team defeated by APF in practice match
Nepal U-19 team, set to participate in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup in Malaysia, have been defeated by Nepal APF Club by 25 runs in the 8th closed camp practice match played at Kirtipur TU Ground on Sunday.
This is the second lost against APF for U-19 since the team was beaten by huge margin of 136 runs in the 7th closed camp practice match last Sunday.
In the first inning, APF posted the target of 131 runs in 41.4 overs losing all wickets. Basant Regmi contributed the highest of 34 runs while Sunam Gautam and Pawan Shrestha scored 16 runs each, Dipendra Chaudhary 12 runs and Sharad Vesawkar 10 runs.
Krishna Karki and Sagar Pun grabbed three-wickets each while Rahul BK took two wickets and Prithu Baskota took one wicket for U-19.
While chasing the target, U-19 were restricted just to 105 runs in 34 overs as Shakti Gauchan, Sanjam Regmi and Basant Regmi grabbed two wickets each while Raju Basnyat took one wicket for APF.
Hasim Ansari scored a highest of 36 runs while Bhuwan Karki scored 26 runs for U-19. Nepalnews.com
