FM Pun pledges economy-friendly budget; says private sector's advice will be incorporated
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun said the government will introduce the new budget on time after forging consensus among the political parties and focusing on the economic agendas that includes the suggestions and demands of the private sector.
During the separate meeting held with Nepal Chambers of Commerce (NCC) and Federation of Contractors´ Associations of Nepal along with senior officials of the finance ministry, ministry of physical planning, Public Procurement Monitoring Office on Thursday, Pun expressed commitment to bring full-fledged budget through ordinance while the opposition parties including Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are demanding formation consensus government before the new fiscal budget announcement.
Assuring that demands of the private sector will be addressed in the new fiscal year budget, Pun said that the new budget will be investment friendly apart from promoting employment and productivity with favourable policies.
On the occasion, NCC president Suresh Kumar Basnet also handed over the copy of suggestions to Pun regarding the challenges and problems faced by the entrepreneurs while operating their business.
Similarly, FCAN also urged the government to bring the favourable policy so that they can also participate in the big projects. nepalnews.com
